You need not sweat it out for hours at the gym. Even of you manage just 30 minutes of cardio – that will help. Consistancy over the festive period will defintly pay off come January.

After the work-out you will feel revived, refreshed and ready to tackle the day ahead. Keep up this exercise routine Mon-Fri all festive season and you will be smiling in January!

Munch Munch Munch – too much?

There is no denying it – the festive season is largely packaged around you guessed it – food! With so many options, parties and events it’s hard not to munch on everything and anything in sight. But in order to maintain that body and keep away those “muffin tops” you need to friend a little word we call – MODERATION! The key to tasting everything and not offending your hosts (if away from home) is to snack lightly and smartly.

If you know that there is an important evening party that you have to attend then pace your calorie intakes during the day. Rather opt for a healthy breakfast and light lunch so that way you can enjoy the tasty dinner that awaits you.

At the party scan the various snacks on offer and rather snack on one or two varieties rather than anything and everything in sight.

If you will be having dinner then skip the snacks altogether and indulge in the supper knowing you have been good all day earlier. Limit your carbs and don’t be shy of the salads! Choose smaller portions and make sure you are washing down with a health fruit juice rather than a fizzy cola!

Follow these easy steps and you wont regret that extra slice of Christmas Fruit Cake in the new year. Here is wishing you all the best this festive season and to a health new year!
