Summer Smoothies

With  the hot summer weather this festive season deciding what to eat or drink in the morning is always a difficult choice. Opting for a smoothie is both nourishing and refreshing and will certainly give you an energy boost you need to get the day going.
Below are a few choices to help you get started.

Honey Fruit Smoothie

2 cups of frozen mixed berries
3 tablespoons of honey
2 cups of plain yougurt ( or flavoured if so desired)

Combine all ingredients in a blender and puree until well combined.

Frozen Berry and Pineapple Smoothie
1 cup frozen berries
1 cup strawberries
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup orange juice
1 cup vanilla yougurt
2 teaspoons honey (optional)
Combine all the ingredients in a blender , process and serve !

Tropical Smoothie
1 large banana, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
2 kiwi fruit, peeled and quartered
1/2 cup peeled and diced mango
1/2 cup peeledand diced papaya
1cup freshly squeezed orange juice
3 ice cubes
Combine all the ingredients in a blender,process and serve !
